some useful advice

firstly, i didon't notice this section, and i am glad to see it here.

secondly, i want to post some advice that i have been given on another forum i am on that deals with this type of thing.

always remember, no matter what it is you are going through, it will not last long. so, for example just sit down, stop, and think to yourself... now, i'm not gonna let this get to me, it will all be over soon. i will be okay. listen to healing music, write in a jernal, read a book, try and distract yourself. it's something i need to practice more often.

as for relaxing music, there is a cd just called relax. it contains 8 tracks of sounds of the ocean waves, put to a background of gentle instramental music. it helps me so much. also another good peace of advice is try and make a list. 10 things you like about yourself, while it may not seem like much that does actually help to. also taking long walks and being in tune with nature. not to mention joing communities or email support lists of people that are going through the same thing. if anyone needs help with that, you can send me a message and i'll be more than happy to make suggestions.

Oh my I just love your suggestions cymbalta! I actually do some of these already but thanks for recommending the cd. I will look for that very soon. I love the ocean although I don't know how to swim and afraid of trying. I do stop and pray a lot when I am upset to feel better. Sometimes if the feeling too painful I just tell myself that the feeling too will pass and that I will feel better soon. Great advise cymbalta! Keep it coming. if you have msn or something, i am sure i'd be able to send you the tracks from the album. i love it. . i think what i like about it is that each track is a good length of time, so by the time it is finished you are so relaxed you don't want to get up and turn it off. lol. or something like that anyway. i am sure we'll get more members too soon, it just takes time.
