Hair loss is common in men 40 years old and older but it usually starts in teenage years. It is important to take preventive measure before it really starts. Our hair goes through several stages in which it grows for several years then falls out. Hormonal changes and heredity can cause hair loss but if you believe that this is not the case, you should see a doctor for a blood test to determine whether this is caused by diabetes or insulin. Hair loss can also be caused by skin problems like eczema, or psoriasis.

Before taking any prescription, you should ask your doctor whether hair loss is one of the side-effects to save you the worry. There are people who don’t show side-effects to some treatments but it’s good to know. Steroids, chemotherapy, and diuretics medication to control hypertension may cause temporary hair loss.

The most difficult hair loss problem to treat is the one caused by stress and anxiety because only the person can help himself with the situation so that the hair will restore to its thickness. A healthy diet rich in protein like eggs, meat, fish, soya, nuts, cheese, and milk will help in promoting hair growth. Vitamins A, B, C, E, and calcium can contribute in maintaining a healthy and glossy hair. Fresh fruits and vegetables should be a part of your healthy diet too. Choose an all natural hair care product that’s right for you. Scalp massage is very beneficial to stimulate blood circulation in your scalp.
